Publishing professionals across the generations discuss the workplace and the marketplace for LGBTQ+ books on a panel moderated by MANUELA SOARES (director of the MS in Publishing Program and Pace University Press). This conversation about the state of the publishing industry on the 50th anniversary of Stonewall brings together veterans and rising leaders to reflect on cultural breakthroughs, career choices, and our must-read lists. Panelists include:

MALAGA BALDI, independent literary agent since 1986

NANCY BEREANO, founder of Firebrand Books

MICHAEL DENNENY, editor of And the Band Played On by Randy Shilts

ARTHUR A. LEVINE, editor of the Harry Potter series and now head of his own publishing company

With SANINA L. CLARK (Assistant Editor at Seven Stories Press), TIFF FERENTINI (Associate Editor at Penguin Random House), HANNAH HECHT (Subsidiary Rights Coordinator at Penguin), and DIANA PHO (Editor at Tor Books).

Presented by the Dyson College Dean's Office, Pace's Publishing Program, American Studies Program, and English Department, in partnership with the Penguin Random House LGBTQ+ Network and The Publishing Triangle.
